Foggy Hollow Farm is nestled in the beautiful hills of the Ohio River Valley. It was established in the late 1990’s by Peter Mowad, owner and breeder.

Starting with 20 cattle, we now have over 250 cattle - including the 53 calves born late fall and early spring. Due to the abundant annual rain fall, we have the ability to raise high quality forages. We have implemented a rotational grazing system that has proven to compliment our herd. We raise and breed purebred registered shorthorn cattle.

We are very proud of our cattle, and welcome you to come see for yourself what we are trying to achieve at Foggy Hollow.  Our genetic program is quite intensive and has proven to be successful for us.

The shorthorn breed is time tested, with high fertility, mothering ability and is very docile breed.
These qualities have proven themselves to be ideal for our program.

Our goal is to produce a premier herd of Purebred Shorthorn using those select
cow families from herds that have performed near flawlessly in those programs. 
Simply put high quality purebred shorthorn cattle working in a high quality
genetic program utilizing embryo and A.I. transplantation.
